BrickaBrack in Training
We teach our theatre-making techniques through various workshops. Our Building Blocks workshop consists of foundational exercises the Ensemble uses to refine performance skills and generate new characters, structures, scenes, and choreography.
BrickaBrack Building Blocks
This workshop fosters imagination and play within a group, allowing participants to engage in physical exploration and improvisation, encouraging their attention to the theatrical disciplines of movement, structure, theatricality, use of space, and creative storytelling.
The goal of the workshop is to empower participants to:

This workshop fosters imagination and play within a group, allowing participants to engage in physical exploration and improvisation, encouraging their attention to the theatrical disciplines of movement, structure, theatricality, use of space, and creative storytelling.

- Increase their capacity to work collaboratively via listening, responding, and supporting each others' ideas.
- Identify and challenge their physical and creative habits.
- Practice greater specificity and presence as a performer.
- Gain techniques to spark their imagination and ingenuity.

Prior Workshops
BrickaBrack teamed with AnA Collaborations in 2017 to lead workshops we call Movement + Theatre. Taught by AnA's Audrey Rachelle and Alex Jenkins with BrickaBrack's lead artists Gabriel Grilli and Amy Nielson, Movement + Theatre is an opportunity for professional artists to crack open creative impulses, discover new techniques, and explore fresh channels for theatre and dance-making.

Partnership with Berridge Programs
BrickaBrack is in partnership with Berridge Programs, a training program for young theatre, dance, and film artists based in Normandy, France. The partnership gives Berridge graduates an entrée into the profession, with the opportunity to intern or work with BrickaBrack and collaborate with veteran NYC-based actors, directors, and writers.
